Vietnam is the leading country in producing and exporting number of agricutural product such as: black pepper, cinnamon cassia, star anise,… Most of these products are exported in raw or low-processed technology.
In 2019, we started a group with 4 people named ‘VKD’ to research and development the supercritical co2 extraction technology together. We set goals for the direction of technological development are:
- To reduce CAPEX: we manufactured the co2 extraction system by local engineering to reduce investment cost. In addition, we can customize the technology to suit the condition in Vietnam, especially suitable for the product that we will focus on like black pepper.
- To reduce OPEX: we optimized the process to balance the high yeild, high quality, low power and co2 consumption,… to achieve lowable production cost and environmental protection.
Besides receiving high value CO2 extracted products, the remaining residue after extraction is mainly composed of proteins, carbohydrates, fiber, ash, etc., which will be used as raw materials for animal and poultry feed factories. That’s how we are committed to an environmentally friendly business model and contributing a footprint to circular economy.
Our milestones:
2019: we study, design, manufacture the machine.
2020: we run the machine and recieve the fisrt sample of co2 extract.
2021-2024: We spent over 3 years to improve the design of machine and optimize the process that suit for our raw material and Vietnam’s condition.
